Where he started
Dunia is from the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland, and went to school at Nudgee College in Brisbane. He is the second GSX player from that school: Ryan Tappouras, now at Mercyhurst in NCAA Division I, came from there too.
For many Australian players the jump straight to a four-year US university is not there at 18. Dunia took the route that GSX knows well: a junior college, far from home, to build a record.
Two seasons in Oklahoma
At Eastern Oklahoma State College, in Wilburton, he became a starter in his first year: 16 games and 13 starts as a freshman in 2024. In 2025, as a sophomore, he started all 15 games at centre-back. Over two seasons: 31 games, 28 starts, 2 goals and 1 assist.
For a defender, those starts are the evidence. A four-year coach can see a player who was trusted every week, by the same staff, for two seasons.

Where GSX fits
Pablo González, from the GSX founding team and a former NCAA Division I player, led his case from start to finish. In August 2026, Dunia signed with Tiffin University, NCAA Division II, in Ohio. His junior college announced it with a graphic of its own:

The JUCO-to-four-year move has its own rules: credits that must transfer, academic requirements, and a short window when coaches decide. GSX's work is to put the record in front of programs that need that profile, help the family compare any offers honestly and make sure the paperwork does not cost a season.
Pablo knows this route first-hand: he played NCAA Division I himself and now plays professionally in New Zealand.
Where he is today
Tiffin is one of the strong programs in Division II this season, ranked No. 25 in the country in September. Dunia wears number 13 and has played 6 games, with 2 starts and 226 minutes, in his first season. He arrived as a junior, so he still has time to earn more.
What his path teaches
- Junior college is a real route, especially for players from Australia and other countries without a high school recruiting system.
- For a defender, starts are the proof. 28 starts in 31 games say more than any highlight.
- Division II is a strong destination, with scholarships, competitive programs and room to play.
- Plan the four-year move early. Credits and deadlines decide as much as the coach does.
